Western invites Christians from around the world to learn and grow with us.
International students come to Western not only to receive, but also to give. At Western, we feel that the international perspectives these students provide are a tremendous asset to the seminary community. These "gifts from abroad" challenge worldviews, sharpen theological premises, and broaden perspectives of WTS students, staff, and faculty alike.
Master of Theology (Th.M.)
The Master of Theology (Th.M.) program assembles a community of international scholars who pursue advanced study to enhance their ministries. By design, the one year (25 semester credit-hours) program provides for focused research and reflection within the context of cross-cultural dialogue.Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is the degree program that leads to the ordained ministry. It requires a minimum of three years of full-time study to complete the degree. The applicant usually must have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university. Western currently offers this degree on-campus in Holland, MI and in a distance learning format.
If you are an international student interested in either the Th.M or the M.Div degree program, please review the application requirements and fill out an admissions application.
