The Certificate in Urban Pastoral Ministry Program grew from conversations with urban ministry practitioners, pastors in the field who have a heart for the city and for ministry with urban residents. This unique program has been developed, guided and formed by pastors and leaders. These leaders have shared with us their hunger to learn and desire to strengthen their own skills in serving Jesus and the people with whom Jesus has called them to be in ministry.

Through their wise counsel, we have been led to shape the Certificate Program in ways that serve the unique educational needs of those who want to gain strength in the art and practice of ministry in the urban context. The core courses will deepen your understanding of the Bible and theology, while courses about aspects of urban ministry give opportunity to explore and gain effectiveness in key components of church and community service.
