About the Workshops
YOUNG CHILDREN AND WORSHIP is an exciting workshop that presents a joyful way to worship God. It invites both children and adults to experience the wonder and mystery of God through a unique storytelling format and multi-sensory materials. Children and Worship is spiritually enriching for both children and adults. Through demonstrations and lectures, one learns to present biblical stories and parables using wooden figures and other materials to create an environment that cultivates the imagination and invites children to fall in love with God. Recommended for children's worship leaders, pastors, Christian educators, and those working with children in small or large congregations.
In their book, Young Children and Worship, Sonja Stewart and Jerome Berryman provide a unique and innovative workshop and learning experience for young children.
The tuition is $295 including lunch on each day. After April 15, tuition is $325. Tuition for a theological student is $265 for general enrichment. To take the workshop for 1.5 credit hours, the workshop tuition is $537.75.
FOLLOWING JESUS is being offered alongside Young Children and Worship this year. Participants who take this track will learn alongside those taking Young Children and Worship but throughout the three days will have instruction about Following Jesus in a separate worship space.
The cost for taking the dual track with Young Children and Worship/Following Jesus is $320 before April 15 and $350 after April 15. Having already completed Young Children and Worship is a requirement for this course.
It is our hope that by offering both of these programs together, veterans worship leaders and new leaders can come together and learn alongside one another. We are offering a benefit to churches that bring multiple learners:
If 3 people sign up at $295, one of the participants receives Following Jesus.
If 5 people sign up at $295, two of the participants receive Following Jesus.
