
The Master of Theology degree program at WTS is designed to develop church leaders for mission and ministry around the world. Our Th.M. program assembles a community of international scholars who pursue advanced study designed to enhance their ministries when they return to their home country. This twelve-month program provides for focused research and reflection within the context of inter-cultural dialogue. A limited number of need based scholarships are available.
To Apply for the Th.M program, you must:
- Have completed an M.Div. degree or the equivalent
- Have three years of practical experience in ministry
- Submit a TOEFL score of at least 213 (computer based) or 550 (paper based)
- Have the ability to relate theological study to the social, cultural, and historical contexts of your ministry
Degree Requirements:
- 5 semester hours of course work; 6 of these hours are granted for the completion of the required master's thesis.
- Candidate must pass a Focus Area Preliminary Examination in the second semester of study.
Th.M Careers
Candidates completing this degree will return to their home country more prepared and eager to lead in their ministries.
