Western Theological Seminary has received a $20,000 grant from the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion.

The grant will be used to resource the seminary’s conversations on racial-ethnic diversity. The seminary has begun several initiatives to increase racial-ethnic diversity on campus. This grant will further those initiatives.

The directors of the grant are Dr. Cynthia Holder Rich, Associate Professor of Continuing Education and Dr. Leanne Van Dyk, Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Van Dyk says, "This grant gives us the opportunity to open up good conversations about race and the mission of the seminary. We are grateful for the support of the Wabash Center."
