The World Council of Churches reminds us that “because of our baptism we are already one body, and we are called to live in communion. God has made us brothers and sisters in Christ. . . . How can you make others understand the reconciliation offered in Jesus Christ if the baptized themselves ignore or fight one another? How can Christian groups who lived in mutual hostility preach one Lord, one faith and one baptism in a credible way?”
During the week of January 18-22, daily morning prayer will be led by those within the WTS community who hold a deep love and concern for peoples around the world where cultural, historical, and economical discrepancies make unity among Christians a challenge.
