Go to http://learn.westernsem.edu. Type in your user name and password, then click the Log On button to log in.

You need a high speed Internet connection and a web browser.

Certain contents perform better on Internet Explorer or Firefox, thus, we recommend you have both. Internet Explorer and FireFox are both supported and tested on PCs running Windows OS. FireFox is supported on Macs running OS X.

You need to know basic Internet browsing and email skills. Knowing how to download and upload files and understanding attachments is crucial. Be sure your machine meets the technical requirements listed on the right of this page.

Processor and Memory
Recommended processor over 1 GHz, memory over 1 GB to ensure playing audio/video lectures smoothly.
Hard Drive
20 GB minimum, 50 GB is recommended
Optical Drive
Some online courses have CDs/DVDs. Make sure your machine plays CDs/DVDs.
Wireless
Wireless connection is available on campus. You will need an 802.11g/n type wireless card either internal or external on your laptop if you wish to use the Internet via your laptop while you are on campus. Otherwise, computers are available in the computer lab, library and student lounge.
