Beardslee Library provides access to Ejournals

  • Hope College/WTS Journals List with the individual titles in Print and Digital Format.
    • Please note: Beardslee Library shares this list with Van Wylen Library.  Your e-journal access is limited to Journals marked WTS authorized access only
  • ATLAS (The American Theological Library Association’s Serials Project) 
  • EBSCO (a vendor of print and electronic journals)

    • To view articles in Ejournals available through ATLAS or Wilson Select Plus follow these steps:

    • Select an ATLAS link (above or in the table)
    • From the opening screen for searching the ATLAReligion database in FirstSearch:
      • Enter the exact title of the journal in the search box,
      • select a “Source Phrase” search from the “Keyword” drop-down box,
      • in the “Limit to: Document Type” field select “Serial” from the drop-down box,
      • click on the “Search” button
    • The summary record for the journal will display
    • Click on “View Full Text in PDF format (ATLA)”
    • The page that displays provides information on the journal and links to the volumes available
    • Select your desired volume and article
    • When you are finished viewing your article(s) exit from FirstSearch by selecting “Return” and “Exit”

    To view articles in Ejournals available through Ebsco follow these steps:

    • Select an Ebsco link (above or in the table)
    • Select your desired journal from the “Quick Journal List” (left side of the screen)
    • Select the title and issue you wish to view. You may be taken outside of Ebsco to another provider such as Ingenta
    • Select the article you wish to view
    • When you are finished viewing your article(s) select “close window” (for Ingenta) and “Logout” (upper right corner) to leave Ebsco
