David Dark will be at WTS as part of the Lakeshore Big Read. He will lead chapel in the morning at 9:40am and give a public talk in our chapel in the evening at 7pm about how good post-apocalyptic novels invite us to examine our own moral carelessness.
A former high school English teacher, Dr. Dark now teaches at Belmont University in Nashville and in the Tennessee Prison for Women. He also writes books with great titles like Life’s Too Short to Pretend You’re Not Religious and The Sacredness of Questioning Everything. His appearance is one of dozens of Big Read Events in our community this fall. The full schedule may be accessed at hope.edu/bigread
