About Dr. Madison N. Pierce

Dr. Madison N. Pierce joined the faculty at Western Theological Seminary in 2022.

Dr. Pierce published her Ph.D. thesis, Divine Discourse in the Epistle to the Hebrews (CUP, 2020), and she also has co-edited two collections of essays—Gospel Reading and Reception in Early Christian Literature (CUP, 2022) with Andrew J. Byers and Simon Gathercole as well as Muted Voices of the New Testament (T&T Clark, 2017) with Katherine M. Hockey and Francis Watson.

Dr. Pierce is the New Testament Editor for Reviews of Biblical and Early Christian Studies as well as a co-host of The Two Cities podcast. She enjoys serving the Church through preaching, reading Scripture, and assisting in distributing the Lord’s Supper. She and her family enjoy music, time outdoors, and travel.

Areas of Expertise

Her research areas include the book of Hebrews, the use of Scripture in Scripture, and the Catholic Epistles.
