We welcome women who are members of the American Academy of Religion, members of the Evangelical Theological Society, women pastor theologians, and beyond.
If you are a woman and consider yourself a Christian and theologian (even if en route), please join us the Saturday of AAR as we gather for a meal, fellowship, and a short program featuring reflections from Katherine Sonderegger, Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology, Virginia Theological Seminary.
To cover the cost of the event, attendees will also be asked to contribute $20. Financial help is available.
Given our room capacity, we can only guarantee spots for the first 65 who register. We will try to find a bigger location if needed, but we can’t promise it.
Theologia is an event held at the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meeting and is co-sponsored by Baker Academic, Baylor University Press, Zondervan Academic, Wipf and Stock Publishers, Western Theological Seminary, and the John Templeton Foundation.
Rev. Dr. Katherine Sonderegger
Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology, Virginia Theological Seminary
The Rev. Katherine Sonderegger, Ph.D., is an affiliated faculty member at Virginia Theological Seminary. Since seminarians will be the future teachers and bearers of the tradition, she finds it wonderfully demanding and exciting to introduce them to the texts of the theological tradition.
