In the name of the Lord Jesus, welcome!

Western Theological Seminary is a vibrant and nurturing community of learning that prepares men and women to lead the church in mission.

This purpose comes to life in our Reformed, evangelical, and ecumenical environment that matches academic rigor with relational development. Our unwavering focus on each student’s spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth provides an enduring foundation for lifelong ministry.  We believe this is the richest, most fruitful way of preparing men and women for lives of pastoral leadership and service to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Western Theological Seminary springs from the broad Reformed tradition which informs and shapes our communal life in full measure. This encompasses deep immersion in Scripture, joyful celebration of the Lord's Supper each week, and a theological perspective that sees God as active and present in manifold ways in the world. In seeking to imagine the fullness of God, ours is a sacramental vision that emboldens us to live and breathe and have our being in God.

As you consider God's claim on your life, I urge you to consider Western Theological Seminary as a place to deepen your faith, sharpen your gifts, and ready your heart to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world in the name of Jesus!

Grace and Peace,

Timothy L. Brown, President
